The Lithuanian Trade Council in Baltimore hosted members of the Panevezys Chamber of Commerce Industry and Crafts (CCIC) on Saturday, April 13th. Twenty-seven business professionals (which is the biggest trade delegation in recent years), traveled from Lithuania to Canada and the United States. The delegation spanned several industries from furniture manufacturing, construction, plastics and glass, machinery, transportation, foodservice, restaurants, consulting and more. During this special occasion, the Lithuanian Trade Council engaged with Lithuanian business leaders from the Panevezys region to collaborate on how to increase trade to the United States.
We would like to thank the LTC’s Lori Gagnon for welcoming the group along with Donna Hoffman for interpreting. A special thanks to Mr. Visvaldas Matkevicius, General Director at Panevezys Chamber of Commerce Industry and Crafts, Mrs. Aiste Masilioniene, Project Manager and Mrs. Angelija Zokaitiene, Head of International Relations Department at the CCIC. The event also included a tour of the Lithuania Hall Museum and Research Library presented by Henry Gaidis and an incredible lunch prepared by the Lithuanian Hall’s SAVAS Restaurant. At the conclusion of the afternoon ,we all departed having made some very special friendships.
